| Animated cartoon producer, born in Budapest, Hungary. He moved to England in 1936 to work as an animator, met and married Joy Batchelor, and they formed the Halas–Batchelor animation unit (1940). They produced Animal Farm (1954), England's first full-length cartoon, and many more films, especially for television. |
