| biography:
| Counsellor, lecturer, and writer, born in Houston, Texas, USA. He studied for the Roman Catholic priesthood (1955–63) but left the seminary to become a high-school teacher, then a counsellor. He became well known in 1986 through the Public Broadcasting System series Bradshaw On - The Family, and the book of the same title. His concept of re-parenting one's ‘inner child’ traumatized by dysfunctional family relationships won him a wide following. |
