| Painter and etcher, born in Port Seton, East Lothian, E Scotland, UK. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art (1960–5) and at the Royal College of Art (1965–8). He is one of the generation of Scots who, in the 1970s, adopted an expressive form of Realism inspired by Leger and by German art. |
