| biography:
| Catalan poet influenced by classical and Italian models, born in Valencia, E Spain. His humanism took the unusual form of inventing Greek writers and then compiling letters which he attributed to them. While his best poem is generally considered to be ‘Oració a la Sacratíssima Verge Maria’, he is also well known as a love poet. |
