| Actress, born in London, UK. She made her film debut in Lady Godiva Rides Again (1951) and used her sultry appeal and headline-catching private life to build a career as an international celebrity. By the 1970s she was appearing in low-budget horror films and softcore pornography, but her fortunes were revitalized with a leading role in the universally popular television soap opera Dynasty (1981–9). Married four times, she has written one volume of autobiography, Past Imperfect (1978), and her novels include Prime Time (1988), My Secrets (1994), and Second Act (1996). Her recent films include Clandestine Marriage (1999). Her sister is the best-selling novelist Jackie Collins (1942– ). |
