| Painter, born in Warnham, West Sussex, S England, UK. She studied at Goldsmith's College of Art, London, and the School of Art, Glasgow. She worked in Glasgow, then (from 1950) in Catterline on the E coast of Scotland. She is best known for her studies of poor children from the Glasgow tenements, and for her Scottish landscapes and seascapes. |
