| Painter and sculptor, born in Copenhagen, Denmark. His best-known painting, ‘After the Storm’ (1905), is in the Oslo National Gallery. As a sculptor his masterpiece is the ‘Great Relief’, in coloured marbles and bronze. He bequeathed his works and his art collection to form the Willumsen Museum in Frederikssund. |
