| Painter, born in Paris, France, formerly confused with the Master of Moulins. He was court painter to Charles VIII (1483) and his successors, Louis XII and Francis I. From 1499–1502 he travelled with Louis' armies as official battle painter and met Leonardo da Vinci. He is famous for his portraits and designs for festivals and tombs. |
