| Sculptor, born in Dan-sur-Meuse, France. He studied with Robert Lesbounit in 1938 in Paris. He produced frescoes and stained glass windows for the Church of St Jacques de Montrouge, Paris (1947–9), and from 1949 concentrated on sculpture. His work is both abstract and figurative and is rather brutal and surreal in nature. Works include Man Pushing the Door (1966). |
