| Poet and writer, born in Caen, NW France. After classical studies, from 1648 he spent his life serving in the court of Armand I de Bourbon, Prince de Conti. He entered Parisian high society, and wrote witty satirical poems. His works include Dulot vaincu, and Rollon conquérant, and among his historical works is Histoire du Siège de Dunkerque (1649). |
