| Cartoonist and writer, born in New York City, New York, USA. He graduated from Yale, worked as a reporter for Life magazine until 1955, and became a cartoonist and writer for the New Yorker (1956–63). He then began illustrating and writing many books for children, such as Could Be Worse! (1977) and Worse Than Willy! (1984). He lived in Connecticut. |
