| Film actor, born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He studied acting at the Michael Chekov Studio, New York City, and made his film debut with Endless Love (1981). He became well known after sex, lies, and videotape (1989), for which he won the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival. Later films include Storyville (1992), Stargate (1994), Crash (1997), Keys to Tulsa (1997), Supernova (2000), and The Watcher (2000). |
