| Anthropologist, born in St Louis, Missouri, USA. He received a PhD from San Francisco State (1960) and taught at Colorado and Kansas before becoming co-director of the Developmental Change Programme at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. His research fields were cultural change, urbanization, and culture and personality, and he published Cultural Anthropology (1967). |
