| Art dealer, born in Buffalo, New York, USA. She studied at Smith College (1925–8) and at Moore College of Art, Philadelphia (1969). Twice married, she was the owner and director of the Martha Jackson Gallery, New York City (1953–69), and was known as an early supporter of the paintings and sculptures of abstract expressionists. She was also president of Red Parrot Films (c.1964–9). |
