| Film-maker, born in Cherbourg, NW France. From 1945 he was film critic for L'Écran Français, and wrote for television and theatre. His most successful film, a comedy Cousin cousine, won him the Prix Louis Delluc in 1976. Later films include Escalier (1985) and Travelling Avant (1987). |
