| Painter, born in Oshawa, Ontario, SE Canada. She studied at the Ontario College of Art, then in Toronto and Paris, and became one of Canada's leading women artists, a past president of the Canadian Group of Painters. She is known for her highly imaginary paintings depicting botanical studies, noted for their bright colours, vibrant brush strokes, and strong sense of design. She is benefactor and patron of the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery in Oshawa. |
