In the next 40 years he wrote almost one book each year, of which the best known are Flynn of the Inland (1932, about Rev John Flynn, founder of the Flying Doctor Service), The Desert Column (1932, based on his experiences with the Australian Light Horse during World War 1), The Cattle King (1936, the life of Sir Sidney Kidman), and Onward Australia (1944). |
