| Poet, born in Jaén, S Spain. Of his 10 surviving poems, the most celebrated is the witty and vigorous Los defectos de las condiciones de las mugeres, a satire provoked by the verse controversy surrounding Torroella's Coplas de las calidades de las donas . It was addressed to Juan Álvarez Gato. He also compiled Nobiliario vero (1492) in the genre of self-glorifying genealogies. |
