| A Dutch cattle salesman, born in 's-Hertogenbosch, S Netherlands. He took part in the Iconoclasm and was exiled from his home town for his part in the destruction. He joined a company of Sea Beggars and with 20 men seized the Castle of Loevestein. The Spanish, with 100 men, recaptured it after a four-day siege in which he was killed. |
