| Strip cartoonist, the creator of ‘Tin-Tin’ the boy detective, born in Etterbeek, C Belgium. He drew his first strip, Totor, for a boy scouts' weekly in 1926. He created the Tin-Tin strip for the children's supplement of the newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle, using the pseudonym Hergé, a phonetic version of his initials, RG. |
