| Violinist, born in Warsaw, Poland. He studied at Warsaw and Berlin, and in Paris (1934–9) worked on composition with Nadia Boulanger. During World War 2 he was an interpreter for the Polish government in exile, while giving concerts for the Allied troops. He took Mexican citizenship in 1946, and was Mexican cultural ambassador from 1960. He wrote several violin and chamber music works, and taught internationally. |
