At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1928–87) he helped found the National Center for Atmospheric Research (1960) and was the first chairman of its parent organization, the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research. He trained meteorologists during World War 2 and researched atmospheric radiation. |
