| Writer, born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She discovered her writing talent during a long-term illness when she was a biology student, and is considered one of the best Dutch humorists. Together with humour, her work is also characterized by a critical outlook on society, a combination which makes for a satirical element in some of her books. She used the Dutch language in an imaginative and playful way, and also wrote books for children. |
