| Danish architect. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, the Architectural Association in London, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and in 1968 became professor of architecture at the Royal Danish Academy. His buildings include the University of Trondheim, the foreign ministry building in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the 1100-seat Compton Verney opera house, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire (1989). Later projects include the Danish Design Centre, Copenhagen (1994). |
