| Writer, born in Stetten, SW Germany. After studying the history of art and music, he began to write radio plays. Also a translator, he has written librettos for operas, including Die Flut (1947), Der Prozess (1953), and König Hirsch (1956), as well as television plays and science-fiction novels. His best-known work is Die Kunstfigur (1958), a satirical novel that focuses on the German intellectual. |
