| Strip cartoonist and scriptwriter, born in New York City, USA. He studied art at Cooper Union, and entered comic books drawing Magno (1943). He created Silver Linings for the Herald-Tribune, then Hey Look one-pagers for Marvel comics. He became editor of Frontline Combat and Two-Fisted Tales, and in 1952 created Mad as a parody of comic books and characters, later converting it to magazine format. He also created the humour magazines Trump, Humbug, and Help, then the colour strip Little Annie Fanny for Playboy (1962). |
