An inspired marketer, he transformed his father's Dallas store, Neiman-Marcus, into a national retailer known for its exclusivity, millionaire clientele, and extravagant Christmas catalogue. He was president (1950–72) and chairman (1972–5), and after 1977 became a Dallas-based marketing consultant. |
