| Alpine skier, born in Staubirnen, Germany. At the 1980 Olympics she won the gold medal in the slalom and giant slalom, and the silver in the downhill. Her total of four Olympic medals (including a bronze in 1976) is a record for any skier. She was combined world champion and overall World Cup winner in 1980. |
