| Writer, born in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, N Italy. His novels were published only after his death, by suicide. They include Roma senza papa (1974), Divertimento 1889 (1975), and Contropassato prossimo (1975) which all manipulate historical events and characters to produce a sort of counter-history. Later novels Il comunista (1976), Dissipatio H.G. (1977), and Un dramma borghese (1978) focus on the more recent past, but all present a harrowing vision of life. |
