| biography:
| English footballer and television commentator, born in London, UK. He scored 357 goals in 517 league matches with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and West Ham United. His highly individual style of play made him difficult to fit into a team pattern, and Alf Ramsey felt able to do without him in the World Cup Final of 1966. After his retirement he made a new career as a television sports commentator, and co-presented the popular Saint and Greavsie Show (1985–92) with Ian St John. |
