| Transport entrepreneur and Australian politician, born in Surabaya, Java. He studied at Sydney University, and purchased the Interstate Parcel Express Company which formed the base for the international Ipec and Skypac freight and courier network, becoming managing director in 1962. An interest in progressive politics led to his forming the Liberal Reform Group, which later became the Australia Party. |
