| Ceramic designer and teacher, born in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, NE Scotland, UK. He studied in Aberdeen and at the Royal College of Art, and worked in industry before his appointment as superintendent of art instruction at the Stoke-on-Trent School of Art. His influence on the period was enormous, and among his many pupils were Clarice Cliff and Susie Cooper. |
