| Tennis player, born in London, UK. She won six Olympic tennis medals (1920 and 1924) and the ladies singles championship at Wimbledon in 1924 and 1926, and is considered to be Britain's most successful woman tennis player. She was also winner of the All England Badminton Championships 1920–2, 1924, and was selected for the England v. Scotland lacrosse international in 1914. |
