| Writer, born in Villacidro, Sardinia, Italy. He belonged to the Solaria group of writers, and moved from the sophisticated style of his first works with their Proust-like recollections, as in Michele Boschino (1942) and Racconti vecchi e nuovi (1945), to a sort of poetic realism in his later novels such as Disertore (1961) and Paese d'ombre (1972). |
