| biography:
| Italian soldier and patriot, born in Rome, Latium, Italy. A staff colonel during World War 2, after the 8 September 1943 he helped set up the first clandestine military centre in Rome, linked with the CLN (Comitato di liberazione nazionale). He was captured by the Nazis, tortured, and shot at the Fosse Ardeatine together with 334 other hostages and political prisoners. |
