| Patriot, journalist, and writer, born in Gavorrano, WC Italy. Owner-editor of the Gazzetta Livornese newspaper, he founded Il Telegrafo in 1877. He took part in Garibaldi's Expedition of the Thousand, which he chronicled in instalments in his papers. It was finally published in book form as I Mille. Da Genova a Capua (1902). |
