| biography:
| Writer and patriot, born in Milan, Lombardy, N Italy. The brother of politician Emilio Visconti-Venosta, he recalled his participation in many episodes of the Risorgimento in Ricordi di gioventù (1904). He wrote the novel Il curato di Orabio (1886) and poems in Italian and Milanese dialect. Best known are his parodistic poems, such as La partenza del crociato (1856). |
