| Automobile and industrial designer, born in Cuneo, NW Italy. After working in the 1960s for the bodywork designers Bertone and Ghia, he established his own firm, Ital Design, in 1969. His designs have been for the popular car market, such as the first Volkswagen ‘Golf’ (1974) and the Fiat ‘Panda’ (1980) and ‘Uno’ (1983). Since the late 1970s Ital has extended its scope to product design including cameras for Nikon, sewing machines for Necchi, and watches for Seiko. |
