| biography:
| Catalan poet of Neapolitan ancestry (from Procida, an island in the Gulf of Naples). His life and work were totally unknown until Martí de Riquer published Próxita's Poesies (1954) in Els Nostres Clàssics. All his 21 surviving poems concern love, reviving the courtly love tradition through largely Italian influences. |
