| Writer, born in Vienna, Austria. He worked as an editor and librarian before taking up a career in writing. A melancholic lyricist employing a melodious style reminiscent of Trakl, he also produced sensitive prose descriptions of nature. His poems include Zwischen Kirkenes und Bari (1952), Lehm und Gestalt (1954), Dieses Dunkel heißt (1955), and Der Geisterkrug (1958). Among his novels are Moos auf den Steinen (1956) and Fasching (1967). |
