| Sculptor and collector, born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1880–3) and in Paris (1883–7), travelled, and collected mediaeval antiquities that became part of the Cloisters Museum, New York. Based in New York City from 1896, he was known for his idealized marble sculptures. |
