| Economist, born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He studied at Yale University and the Massachusetts of Technology (PhD, 1966), going on to join the University of California at Berkeley. He shared the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2001 for the analysis of markets with asymmetric information. |
