| Novelist and historian, born in Valencia, E Spain. His best book is an excellent pastoral novel, El Prado de Valencia (1600), which includes many poems by his fellow-academics in the Academia de los Nocturnos, where he was known as Relámpago. His Retrato político del Rey Alfonso VIII appeared in the anonymous Varios eloquentes libros recogidos en uno (1726). |
