| biography:
| Writer and broadcaster, born in Neumarkt, Silesia. Head of the radio stations Breslauer Rundfunk (1925–33) and Südwestfunk Baden-Baden (1946–65), he played an important role in the development of broadcast drama. His works as a writer include the stories Rübezahl's Grab (1937), Himmel und Hölle (1938), and Rosenzauber (1964), as well as the poetry Gottwanderer (1921), Schlesischer Psalter (1936), and Erde sei uns wohlgesinnt (1955). These works are informed by a romantically mystical view of the world as a manifestation of supernatural powers. |
