| German politician and industrialist, born in Magdeburg, EC Germany. In 1918 he founded the Stahlhelm which was incorporated in the Sturmabteilung (SA) in 1933, which he led in an anti-republican spirit. He became Reichskommissar für den Arbeitsdienst (1933–4) and Reichsarbeitsminister (1933–45). He died while under American imprisonment. |
