| Jesuit and naturalist, born in Mannheim, SWC Germany. He was educated in Lombardy and at the Jesuit College in Monza, and in 1766 was appointed professor of mathematics at the university of Sassari. He was a distinguished naturalist as well as a theologian and philosopher. The bird Cetti's warbler (Cettia cetti) was named after him. |
