| Dancer, born in Miami, Florida, USA. He studied with Alicia Alonso in Havana and at the School of American Ballet in New York City. In 1972 he joined American Ballet Theatre, rising to the status of principal in 1974, the same year that he won the gold medal in Varna, Yugoslavia. |
