| King of Saudi Arabia (1964–75), born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Appointed Viceroy of Hejaz in 1926, he became minister for foreign affairs in 1930, crown prince in 1953, and succeeded his half-brother Saud as king. He was assassinated in the royal palace in Riyadh by his nephew Faisal ibn Musaid. |
