| biography:
| German resistance fighter and lawyer, born in Halle/Saale, EC Germany. He actively fought National Socialism from 1933 onwards, and belonged to the resistance movement around Hans Oster. He was involved in the two failed bomb attacks of March 1943 and was arrested in August 1944. He worked as a lawyer after 1945 and became a judge at the Bundesverfassungsgericht (1967–75). |
