| Greek vase painter of the so-called ‘red figure’ style. He was a contemporary of Euphronios, and seemingly a rival, as amongst the six surviving signed vessels one is inscribed with the words: ‘Euphronios never did anything like it’. His painted figures are amongst the earliest to show foreshortened limbs. |
